The family started the business over 24 years ago with a small restaurant in a listed building which quickly built up an outstanding reputation for it’s excellent English and Continental cuisine, along with a fine selection of whiskeys.
In 1992 the business was extended in order to do 100 covers, a lounge bar was added to accommodate 30/40 guests and 21 bedrooms with 2 function rooms were built, allowing us to hold parties and weddings. In 1998 the hotel was further developed bringing us up to our current 47 bedrooms.
The Restaurant is decoratively furnished to compliment any special occasion and has a wide choice of menus which include a la carte and a set 3 course table d’ hote menu with grills, fish and vegetarian dishes, catering for most dietary needs upon request. A good selection of wines are available.

Any requests will be positively handled depending on space available. We offer a good wine cellar to our guests who can enjoy a complete dinner or just a snack at the bar.

In celebration of the festive season, Strawberry Bank presents Menus running throughtout December with Function Rooms available to arrange a Christmas Celebration of your choice. A New Years Eve Gala Dinner is to be held in our Meriden Suite (bookings subject to availability).

Bar snacks are available in the residents lounge, the bar in the restaurant or to enjoy in the gardens, weather permitting. An extensive Christmas Fayre Menu runs throughout December - you can even arrange your own Christmas party this year, subject to availability.
